To advance to the next level in Karate, students must demonstrate their mastery of the techniques and skills required for their current rank. Testing is rigorous and requires a high level of proficiency. Tests are administered by a qualified Internaionaly certafied instructor and involve demonstrating kata, bunkai, and kumite. In addition to physical proficiency, knowledge of terminology, history, and philosophy is also evaluated. Students must demonstrate that they are not only physically prepared, but also mentally and emotionally dedicated to their martial arts journey.
